A husband and wife have been identified as the couple whose bodies were found in their Williams-area home on Tuesday.
The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of Michael Dimuria, 67, and Nora Dimuria, 64, as a double homicide, and authorities said Wednesday that they were still looking for the couple’s vehicle.
Sheriff’s detectives, as well as a team from the Arizona Department of Public Safety comprised of investigators and crime scene technicians, were on their second day of processing the scene.
A neighbor called 911 to report finding a body at about 9 a.m. Tuesday in the community of Red Lake, which is about 8 miles north of Williams. Deputies found the second body upon arrival.
The Dimuria’s missing vehicle is described as a white, four-door 2006 Jeep Liberty with Arizona plate 123-VDL.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office at 928-774-4523 or Silent Witness at 928-774-6111.
