Metro Phoenix is teeming with ice rinks to skate through this holiday season, so bring the entire family along to these spots.
CitySkate in Phoenix
Nestled between the Squid Ink restaurant and Urban Outfitters in downtown Phoenix, this family-friendly skate rink is the perfect stop. No matter the occasion, this rink is sure to be budget-friendly and a fun sight.
Skate session times:
Nov. 21-Dec. 16
Monday through Thursday: 5-7:30 p.m. and 8-11 p.m.
Friday through Sunday: 3-5 p.m., 5:30-7:30 p.m. and 8-11 p.m.
Thanksgiving (Nov. 22): 5-11 p.m.
Black Friday (Nov. 23): Noon-11 p.m.
Dec. 17-Jan. 6
Monday though Sunday: 3-5 p.m., 5:30-7:30 p.m. and 8-11 p.m.
Christmas Eve (Dec. 24): 3-7:30 p.m.

Desert Ice Skating Rink in Scottsdale
Among the many activities at the Scottsdale Princess for the holidays, the ice-skating rink is definitely not one to miss. Check it out and then explore the rest of the resort for the night or stay the weekend with exclusive deals just in time for the holiday season.
Details: Nov. 20 through Dec. 31. Times vary; call or check the hotel website. Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, 7575 E. Princess Drive. $55 for self-parking; $85 for valet. Each car includes admission for six. Dine at one of the resort’s restaurants and spend $75 or more to receive complimentary admission and valet parking, plus access to rides and attractions. Tempe Marketplace
What’s better than ice skating during the holidays? Ice skating for free, of course. Tempe Marketplace offers a weekend of free ice skating with skates included. It sounds like a great plan, and remember to bring socks for everybody!

Skate Westgate in Glendale
Along with the ice skating, there are a ton of festivities at the Westgate Entertainment District for everybody to enjoy, including a nightly snowfall and a tree lighting.

2–3:15 p.m.
3:30–4:45 p.m.
5–6:15 p.m.
6:30-7:45 p.m.
8-9:15 p.m.
9:30-10:45 p.m.

Winter Wonderland Ice Rink in Mesa
Ice skate at the winter wonderland in Mesa to ring in the holiday season. And be sure to stop by on opening day, Nov. 23, to see an ice show from AZ ICE before skating with the rest of the family. You can bring your own skates, but there are no discounts if you do.
