The college basketball recruiting profiles.of top Arizona high school juniors Jennah Isai and Kennedy Basham have heavily increased during the summer club season.
They’ve impressed scouts so much that both players’ individual rankings have jumped in the latest edition of ESPN’s Super 60 Class of 2022 HoopGurlz Recruiting high school national player poll released Thursday.
On the same day Isai received an offer from Kentucky, the Surprise Valley Vista 6-foot guard ranking moved up from her No. 54 spot to 26 on the list.
The Phoenix Pinnacle 6-foot-7 center Basham rose two spots from No. 30 to 28 on ESPN’s poll, which is evaluated by Premier Basketball scouting service.
Isai played this past summer for Cal Stars and Basham played for Arizona Select girls 17U club teams. Isai briefly played with Basham on the Arizona Select team this summer as well.
Basham was among The Republic’s 2019-20 All-Arizona Girls Basketball Team selections.
She is ranked third and Isai is sixth in the Elite 50 girls basketball 2020-21 preseason player poll.
They have both received a litany of offers from Division I Power 5 college conferences during the high school girls basketball offseason. Neither has committed to a college yet.
Last season, Isai helped led Valley Vista to their third 6A conference state title in four seasons and Basham led Pinnacle to the same conference’s semifinals before it lost to the championship runner-up Chandler Hamilton.
