Do you know what to do if you’re in an accident?

A two-vehicle crash on the U.S. 60 northwest of Phoenix killed one person Monday afternoon, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. and closed the road while the accident was under investigation, DPS said.

A second two-vehicle collision caused injuries at the same intersection four minutes after the first crash, DPS said.

Officials did not immediately say how many people were injured or what the extent of their injuries were.

Westbound U.S. 60, also called Grand Avenue in the area, was closed at 203rd Avenue in Wittman, which is north of Sun City West, but reopened late Monday night.

The eastbound lanes were closed at State Route 74 but reopened just after 6 p.m., according to ADOT.

Further details were not immediately available.
