Many former Arizona high school boys basketball players’ seasons have come to a close. Many are still playing in conference tournaments/and or waiting for the NCAA Tournament.
With the NCAA Tournament right around the corner, take a look at the players who have made an impact on their NCAA Division I men’s basketball teams this season.
Five of them have averaged at least 17.5 points per game.
The leading scorer from Arizona this season was Grand Canyon guard DeWayne Russell, a Peoria High grad, who averaged 21.2 points per game.

Former Phoenix Brophy Prep standout Tim Kempton has averaged 20.4 points per game at Lehigh. He’s followed by Central Arkansas’ Jordan Howard, a former Gilbert Perry standout, who has averaged 19.5 points per game.
Former Phoenix Desert Vista player Brandon Clarke (17.5 points per game at San Jose State) and former Anthem Boulder Creek standout Joshua Braun (17.5 points per game at GCU) round out the Top 5 scorers from an Arizona high school in men’s college basketball this season.
