Queen Creek is a booming area with top high school football players coming through, moving on to playing college football.
Our Week 3 Game of the Week between Queen Creek and Casteel has no shortage of future college players.
Here’s a look at some of those top players to see:
Queen Creek Bulldogs (2-0)
Devin Brown, QB, 6-4, 185, Jr.
Committed to USC. Missed first half of sophomore season after transfer move. Has huge potential. Big, accurate arm. Tough in the pocket. Constantly working on his game to improve.
Trey Reynolds, LB, 6-2, 225, Sr.
Committed to Utah. He has been making a varsity impact since his freshman year. Has been a force on defense the first two games.
Hunter Barth, S, 6-2, 200, Sr.
Committed to California. Great ball skills, covers a lot of ground, sure tackler. Ranked by The Arizona Republic as the state’s top safety this season.
Krew Jackson, S, 6-6, 210, Sr.
Versatile and athletic, he is committed to Kansas State. Great balance and can play either corner or safety.
Isaia Glass, OL, 6-5, 255, Sr.
Committed to Arizona State. His length, long reach and footwork make him one of the state’s top offensive linemen, who can play anywhere across the line.
Porter Reynolds, LB, 6-0, 220, So.
Younger brother of Trey, his upside is off the charts. Strong and versatile. Can play defensive end, inside linebacker and outside linebacker.
Casteel Colts (2-0)
Isaiah Newcombe, WR/CB, 6-1, 175, Sr.
Committed to UCLA. Son of head coach Bobby Newcombe. Quick, fast, elusive, could play either wide receiver or cornerback in the Pac-12.
Dane Christensen, QB, 6-3, 195, Sr.
Could be a steal for a college team. Has strong arm, good size. He can make plays with his legs. He has passed for 608 yards and rushed for 121 yards in first two games.
Brock Dieu, OL, 6-2, 280, Sr.
Committed to Washington State in May. Has nearly 20 Division I college football offers. Anchor of a strong offensive line. Has been a fixture on the line for three years.
Justin Thomas, OL, 6-2, 280, Sr.
Made second-team all-region last season. Good feet, strong, tough pass and run blocker.
Conner Clinton, DB/WR, 5-11, 185, Jr.
Made first-team all-region in the secondary as a a sophomore. Excellent student, great work ethic, athleticism.
Shakaun Bowser, DE, 6-3, 210, Jr.
A multisport athlete who has a high ceiling. Getting Division I interest that will pick up as the season progresses.
