ARIZONA CARDINALS SCHEDULE: Cardinals in critical stretch of 2017 schedule

Cardinals-Rams game notes

Cardinals road trip:

  • The trip to London is the Cardinals first game outside of the United States since they traveled to Mexico City in 2005 to play the 49ers.
  • The 5,200 mile, 10-hour flight to get the Cardinals to London was also the team’s longest road trip.
  • The Cardinals planned to spend six days in London, while the Rams were expected to arrive on Friday.

About Twickenham Stadium:

  • Twickenham Stadium is known as the Cabbage Patch because the land was used to grow the crop before the Rugby Football Union purchased the property in 1907.
  • The property was used during World War I to graze and train the British Army’s horses, and was used in World War II as a civil-service depot.
  • Twickenham Stadium has hosted three Rugby World Cups: 1991, 1999 and 2015.
  • The Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants played at the stadium last season, marking the first ever-non Rugby event held at Twickenham Stadium.

Cardinals vs. Rams series history:

  • Sunday’s game is the 77th meeting between the two franchises.
  • The Cardinals hold a 38-36-2 advantage in the series and have won 15 of the last 21 games.
  • The Cardinals have a 17-13 record against the Rams since the NFL realigned the divisions in 2002.
  • Arizona is 20-19 on the road vs. the Rams, including 10 of the last 12.
  • Twickenham Stadium is the third Rams ‘home’ stadium the Cardinals have visited in the last three years, following the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis (2015) and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (2016)
