Brock Sturges, a running back from Allen, Texas, is Arizona State football’s third commitment in its 2018 recruiting class.

Sturges, 5-10, 200, is rated as a three-star recruit by 247 Sports. He committed Friday, opting for ASU over a variety of other offers including Arizona and Colorado from the Pac-12, Boise State, Houston and Minnesota.

ASU coach Todd Graham was at Allen High from 1995-2000 before beginning his college coaching career.

Sturges rushed for 1,138 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior and also caught 14 passes. ASU also has a freshman running back from Texas in Eno Benjamin, who rushed for 7,546 career yards at Wylie East High School.

The Sun Devils lose senior running backs Kalen Ballage and Demario Richard after this year. Running back Nick Ralston is a redshirt sophomore.

Sturges joins cornerback Dominique Harrison and safety Elyjah Doyle as ASU commitments.
