The ASU football program continues to make major recruiting strides under coach Herm Edwards.
Some college football recruiting rankings can be used as evidence.
Arizona State’s 2021 class is currently ranked No. 19 in the nation by 247 Sports, the highest ranking for a recruiting class for the Sun Devils since it was also ranked No. 19 in the nation under coach Todd Graham in 2015.
Edwards’ 2020 class was No. 23 in the nation in 2020. In 2019, it was 28th.
His first recruiting class in 2018 was No. 36 in the nation.

ASU’s most recent recruit is four-star wide receiver Dominic Lovett of East St. Louis (Bellville, Illinois) who announced his decision last month.
Lovett was the fourth wide receiver in the recruiting class, although two of those are classified as athlete which means they could also play on the defensive side of the ball instead.
The addition of Lovett to the class means ASU has secured players from 12 different states.
Of their 21 commits, 13 are east of Texas and that doesn’t include four-star cornerback Isaiah Johnson, who’s from West Virginia but playing his senior year of high school football in Southern California.
