Stevie Wonder has released two songs he’s hoping will provide instruction and inspiration for today’s global challenge.
“Can’t Put It in The Hands of Fate” is a call to action that finds the icon collaborating with hip-hop artists Rapsody, Cordae, Chika and Busta Rhymes.
“You say that you believe that all lives matter,” Wonder sings. “I says honestly, I don’t believe you do/You say ‘All things in time’/I say ‘That’s why I’m not gonna put it in the hands of fate.”
“Where Is Our Love Song” features him working with blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr., asking “Where are our words with hope,” “our prayer for peace” and “our desperately needed song of love?”
Asked and answered, apparently.

Wonder released the songs on Tuesday, Oct. 13, the 36th birthday of his second oldest son, Mumtaz Morris.
The singles were released on Wonder’s new label, So What The Fuss Music, marketed and distributed by Republic Records/Universal Music Group.
Both songs are written and produced by Wonder and are available now on all digital and streaming platforms.
All of Stevie’s proceeds from the royalties of “Where Is Our Love Song” will be donated to Feeding America.
In a statement, Wonder said, “In these times, we are hearing the most poignant wake-up calls and cries for this nation and the world to, please, heed our need for love, peace and unity.”
