The Brian McKnight drive-in concert at WestWorld of Scottsdale on Friday, Sept. 18, has been postponed.

The R&B singer’s performance was scheduled to open a series of live onstage drive-in concerts presented by R Entertainment & M Culinary at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

A lot of artists have been screening virtual concerts they’ve filmed in advance to show at outdoor venues, including recent Arizona screenings by Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton and Metallica.

McKnight’s show would have been an actual drive-in concert on a stage in Scottsdale.

McKnight, whose hits include the Vanessa Williams duet “Love Is” and the million-selling “Back at One,” was scheduled to play two shows at 7 and 10 p.m.

A new date has yet to be scheduled.

Refunds can be requested at the point of purchase.

Safety precautions

All concerts in the WestWorld drive-in series will adhere to guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as all state and local health mandates.

This includes maintaining at least six feet of space between vehicles (this event will see 6 to 12 feet of space between vehicles), use of personal protective equipment by staff, implementation of contactless payment and ticketing systems and limiting capacity in restrooms.

Concessions will be available, adhering to state guidelines.
