Do you know what to do if you’re in an accident?

Almost 800,000 Arizonans were expected to travel during the long holiday weekend, according to AAA Arizona.

Accidents will happen. Here’s a running list of the slowdowns you might encounter through the weekend:

Friday 9:30 p.m.

Arizona Department of Public Safety reports traffic is moving again on westbound Interstate 10 near Tonopah after a one-vehicle rollover crash that injured several people, including one who had to be flown from scene. Traffic still was moving slow and backed up for several miles.

Friday 8:45 p.m.

Westbound Interstate 10 west of Tonopah was shut to traffic in order to allow a helicopter to evacuate an injured patient after a serious crash, according to ADOT. Traffic previously had been blocking only the right lane, ADOT said.

Friday 5:25 p.m.

Northbound traffic on Interstate 17 was moving slow north of Anthem late Friday afternoon, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

A truck fire earlier in the afternoon had briefly closed the highway, and traffic still was recovering later in the day, ADOT said in a tweet, as more residents began heading for the high country for the Memorial Day weekend.

Separately, ADOT said traffic heading north into Payson was moving slowly on State Route 87 just south of that city, another popular weekend getaway for Valley residents. But the road was moving smoothly northbound heading out of the Phoenix area.
