A pediatric flu death has been reported in Arizona, the second one of the 2019-20 season, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services.
The child died in Yuma County, department spokesman Chris Minnick said Friday.
There were no pediatric flu deaths in Arizona children last flu season, which usually runs from December through March.
According to department data, there already have been 41 flu deaths of adults and children reported in the 2019-20 season.
