The Rolling Stones have announced the rescheduling of their 2019 No Filter North American tour, including State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Aug. 26.
The tour was postponed so Mick Jagger could undergo surgery to replace a heart valve.
The singer issued a statement at the time that read, “I really hate letting you down like this. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can.”
A statement by the Stones read, “Mick Jagger has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”
A day before announcing the rescheduled dates, Jagger tweeted a video of himself dancing to a Wombats song.
The Stones’ No Filter tour will now kick off in Chicago with two shows, June 21 and June 25, then head for Ontario on June 29 followed by dates in Washington DC, Foxboro, East Rutherford, Philadelphia, Houston, Jacksonville, a new show in New Orleans, Denver, Seattle, Santa Clara, Pasadena, Glendale and Miami.
This will be the Stones’ first Valley concert since 2006, when they played that same venue, which was then known as the University of Phoenix Stadium.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood have promised classic hits such as “Sympathy For The Devil,” “Paint It Black,” “Brown Sugar,” “Miss You” and “It’s Only Rock N Roll.”
The Stones’ No Filter promoters Concerts West/AEG Presents are pleased to have locked in dates in all the cities from the recently postponed shows. They wish to thank ticketholders for their patience in waiting for the new 2019 dates.
Tickets sold for the original date will be honored. Fans do not need to exchange their tickets.
