Gilbert police were actively searching near Gilbert and Warner roads Friday for three young men who reportedly pointed a gun out the window of a black truck toward a woman.

The call came in just after noon, and Gilbert police were combing the area for a black truck that matched a partial plate number they got from the woman on scene.

A similar incident occurred in Mesa, according to Sgt. Darrell Krueger, Gilbert police spokesman.

“From what it appears, it seems to be a random act,” Krueger said.
