A collision near McDowell Road and 26th Street in Phoenix left one person dead and three injured late Thursday evening.
Phoenix police officers responded to a call around 9 p.m. and found two significantly damaged vehicles. A statement from Phoenix police said Tori Rivero, who was driving one of the vehicles, crossed into oncoming traffic at a high speed and her vehicle collided with the other vehicle, which had three occupants.
Rivero was pronounced dead at the scene, and the occupants in the other car were transported to the hospital for serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
