The female pedestrian was crossing Priest Drive mid-block near 17th Street around 10 p.m. when she was struck by the vehicle. She was not in the crosswalk, Tempe police Detective Greg Bacon said.
Police initially believed the pedestrian was impaired, but confirmed her tests came back clean.
The identity of the woman has not been confirmed, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
This is an ongoing investigation.
