A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning in south Phoenix, police officials said.
The collision happened around 5 a.m. in an area near Broadway Road and Central Avenue, Detective Luis Samudio said in an email.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the location of the collision, according to Samudio.
Broadway Road was closed between Central Avenue and Third Street to both east and west traffic.
