USA TODAY Sports breaks down the South Regional final.

No. 1 North Carolina vs. No. 2 Kentucky

Time, TV: 5:05 p.m. ET, CBS

? Why North Carolina (30-7) will win: Kennedy Meeks will be a next-level challenge for Kentucky freshman Bam Adebayo, who often looked lost against UCLA’s big men. The Tar Heels are also one of the best rebounding teams in the country, and getting offensive boards will help slow the Wildcats’ torrid pace. And though North Carolina has lost its last two against Kentucky, the Tar Heels haven’t dropped three in a row in the series since 2004.

TV GUIDE: Previewing Sunday’s Elite Eight games

? Why Kentucky (32-5) will win: De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk. Need we say more? The freshmen phenoms have been tremendous, and their talents were on full display in the victory against the Tar Heels in December. Monk had 47 points, 24 of which came on three-pointers, and Fox had 24 points and 10 assists. The two also were the driving force in the Sweet 16 win against UCLA, with Fox scoring an NCAA tournament-record (for a freshman) 39 points and Monk scoring 14 of his 21 in the second half.
