Things are tough in New York. Rent is overpriced, traffic is bad, and the subway breaks down a lot. Oh, and also, the New York Knicks ended up with the third pick after this year’s draft lottery.
Now, before you fully pull out tissues, you should know that they still fared better than the Suns and the Cavaliers. Those three teams all had a 14% chance of getting the highly coveted rights to Zion Williamson with the first overall pick in the draft.
The Suns fell all the way to sixth. After assembling a meager 19 wins last season, the drop to sixth is … not great.
For as upset as Suns fans were, Knicks fans seemed to take their disappointment to a new level of meltdown. Across Twitter, they came together with one chorus: this was the worst possible thing in the entire universe.
Noted Knicks fan Stephen A. Smith took to Twitter to let everyone know his thoughts, though he forgot to bring his studio lighting with him.
If anything, at least Suns and Knicks fans are used to this?
And to be fair, there were some other positives for Suns fans.
