A human-caused wildfire that has grown to 7,260 acres since it was started in Tonto National Forest on Friday is now 50% contained.

The national forest’s Twitter account shared the news Sunday morning, cautioning that Bartlett Damn Road, a thoroughfare to Bartlett Lake, remained closed.

The evacuation order issued Saturday for camping areas around Bartlett Lake remains in effect.

Dolores Garcia, a spokeswoman with the Bureau of Land Management said she expects the fire will continue to spread a little but not enough to close more roads. Over 240 fire personnel have been deployed to combat the blaze according to a wildfire incident website.

Garcia also urged hikers and campers to be extra cautious and not start new fires in a forest still with plenty of dry brush.

Fire personnel continue to investigate the human-caused fire.
