A man riding his motorcycle slid out of control and was killed in Cornville on Monday night, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.

Luke Miller, 31, failed to round a curve as he lost command of his motorcycle and slid across the lane, crashing into the guardrail on State Route 89A going westbound in Cornville, officials said.

Miller, of Rimrock, was not wearing a helmet and was found near his motorcycle with severe head injuries, officials said.

Officials say there was no other vehicle involved and an investigation was ongoing.
