A motorcyclist died on Saturday morning after crashing into a trailer being towed by a vehicle attempting to make a U-turn, according to Phoenix police.

Mark Seely, 51, was driving a motorcycle northbound on 24th Street around 6:13 a.m. when he collided with the trailer. Seely was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials say.

Police said the vehicle’s driver, a 33-year-old man who remains unidentified, wasn’t injured in the collision.

Officials didn’t say whether speed or impairment were factors in the crash, and ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Phoenix Police Department.
