A Prescott Valley woman who was reported missing late last month has been found dead, police said Friday.

The Prescott Valley Police Department confirmed that Lianna Lefler was found dead Friday about noon, nearly two weeks after she was first reported missing.

Prescott Valley police learned Lefler was missing on April 29.

Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies joined the Prescott Valley police in searching for the 18-year-old Walmart cashier.

Surveyors working on a new connector road above Glassford Hill in Prescott Valley found her body on Friday and contacted authorities, according to the Police Department.

Police in a press release confirmed that the body found off a maintenance road near Glassford Hill was Lefler’s.

The case is still being investigated, and the cause of death is unknown.
