Two people were wounded, leaving one in critical condition, after a shooting Friday night in Mesa, according to police officials.
Officers responded shortly after 9 p.m. to an area near South Longmore, south of Broadway Road, for a reported shooting and found the two victims, according to Mesa Police Department.
While one victim is in critical condition, the other victim has non-life-threatening injuries, department spokesman Nik Rasheta said in an email.
One person, who was not identified, was taken into custody.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
