A 33-year-old man who was found suffering from eight gunshot wounds behind a QuikTrip in Phoenix is said to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers found the man at about 4:40 a.m. Tuesday behind a QuikTrip gas station across from Grand Canyon University near 27th Avenue and Camelback Road, according to Sgt. Jonathan Howard, a Phoenix Police Department spokesman.

The gunshot victim was walking with his brother when he was shot. Howard said police have yet to determine the relationship between the gunshot victim and the shooter or shooters.

Howard said the man’s injuries were determined to be “not life threatening” upon arriving at the hospital.
