Car collectors are gearing up for the most exciting day of bidding at the Barrett-Jackson collector-car auction in Scottsdale.
Saturdays draw big crowds, usually with some celebrities in the mix.
The weeklong auction at WestWorld will have seen more than 1,800 collector vehicles cross the auction block by the time it comes to a close Sunday.
Here’s our guide to what you need to know to have fun at the auction and at other auctions in metro Phoenix.
And here are some of the cars that you can expect to cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block Saturday:
2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition VIN 001
Ford Motor Company will auction a rare VIN 001 2019 “Gulf” Heritage Edition Ford GT to benefit United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
The car features the same famous baby blue and orange color scheme worn by the Ford GT-40 that took down Ferrari 50 years ago to make racing history.

Transformers cars
Chevrolet will offer four of the Bumblebee Camaros from the “Transformers” movie franchise.
There’s just one catch: The cars must be sold together, and they’re likely to fetch a hefty price. The sale of the Camaros will benefit Operation Homefront, a national non-profit that helps build strong, stable and secure military families.
Among the four is the original Camaro Bumblebee, which debuted in the first “Transformers” movie in 2007 and then was modified for the sequel, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
The others in the collection are:
