Two men were arrested Saturday in connection with an early morning shooting in Yuma that left one man dead and a woman seriously injured, according to police officials.

Yuma police just after midnight on Saturday responded to an area near Fourth Avenue and 14th Street where they found a man and woman who had been shot, said police spokesperson Sgt. Lori Franklin.

At the scene, Tyrone Hall, 36, was pronounced dead, Franklin said.

The 32-year-old woman was ultimately flown to a Phoenix area hospital in serious condition, Franklin said.

Franklin said that same day, police arrested two men in connection with the shooting: Jerome Hall, 32, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, and Brandon Hall, 35, was arrested on suspicion of hindering prosecution.

It’s unclear if any of the people involved in the shooting were relatives or knew each other.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Yuma Police Department at 928-373-4700 or 928 782-7463 to remain anonymous.
