How to Make a Hanging Colander Planter

I wanted a unique hanging planter for this porch, so I decided to make one out of a metal colander. I started by drilling three holes evenly spaced around the rim of the colander. I spray painted it white to match the house trim, and hung it with three 16-inch chains and S-hooks. You can line it with landscaping fabric or coffee filters before adding your soil and plants.
