Firefighter crews are rescuing four hikers, including a 10-year-old and a 63-year-old, who are lost on Camelback Mountain as of Saturday evening, the Phoenix Fire Department said.
The department, in a statement sent just before 7 p.m., said two adults were lost on the mountain and unable to make their way down.
Shortly after, the department said there was a total of four hikers in separate groups lost on the Cholla side of the mountain.
One pair of hikers included two adults while the other included a 10-year-old and a 63-year-old, officials said.
The department’s helicopter is at the mountain to light the path for rescuers.
None of the hikers was injured as of 7 p.m.
