A tower of smoke rose over an area near downtown Phoenix on Wednesday eveningĀ as fire crews worked to put out an RV fire.
The fire broke out just before 6:30 p.m., in a lot near Buckeye Road and Eighth Street, fire officials said.
Fire crews had the blaze under control before it could spread to other RVs in the lot, said Phoenix fire Capt. Rob McDade.
Damage was limited to one RV and a covered parking structure.
