An inmate who escaped Pima County jail late last month was found dead in Mexico on Thursday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said.
Moreno had self-surrendered to the Pima County jail Dec. 28 and was last seen running toward a wash near the jail, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Further details surrounding Moreno’s death have not been made immediately available.
