A driver died when a car collided with a sign and a wall on the eastbound Interstate 10 in west Phoenix late Thursday.

A sedan pulling a trailer struck a construction sign before hitting the right wall around 11:45 p.m. near 67th Avenue, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The driver was pronounced dead at the location.

Another vehicle was also hit and only had minor damage.

The freeway was later reopened. It was closed near 67th Avenue at 12:20 a.m. Friday morning, reopened at 1 a.m. for about 45 minutes, then was closed again until 4:30 a.m., the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
