Keep coming back for the latest on the Diamondbacks and Mets game Monday night at Chase Field.

Pollock to 10-day DL

There is a new face in the Diamondbacks’ lineup for Monday night’s series opener against the Mets.

Reymond Fuentes is set to make his debut for Arizona, playing center field and leading off. Fuentes takes A.J. Pollock’s place in the lineup.

Pollock suffered a right groin strain in Sunday’s loss to the Pirates and on Monday, was placed on the 10-day disabled list by the D-Backs.

Fuentes played in 13 games with the Royals last season. He hit .317 with 5 RBIs. He also played with the Padres in 2013.

To make room on the 40-man roster, the D-backs designated RHP Enrique Burgos for assignment.

Monday’s game

Mets at Diamondbacks

When: 6:40 p.m.

Where: Chase Field (Roof hotline: 602-462-6262).

Pitchers: Diamondbacks RHP Zack Godley (1-0, 2.25) vs. Mets RHP Zack Wheeler (2-2, 4.18).

TV/radio: FSAZ/KMVP-FM (98.7), KHOV-FM (105.1).

Godley earned another start after throwing seven impressive innings against the Tigers last week at Chase Field, giving up just one run on four hits and a walk. … His other big league start wasn’t bad, either. He gave up two runs in five innings on April 26 vs. the Padres. … Manager Torey Lovullo still wouldn’t commit to sticking with Godley beyond Monday, saying the club is still weighing options in the wake of RHP Shelby Miller’s elbow surgery. … Wheeler missed the past two years returning from elbow problems. … His fastball is averaging 94.5 mph, right in the same range as before his injuries. He also throws sliders, curveballs and the occasional change-up. … He gave up one run in six innings against the Giants in his most recent start.

New York Mets

Mets update: The Mets arrive in town having lost four consecutive games, including a particularly ugly one on Sunday, when they blew a 7-1 lead and lost 11-9 to the Milwaukee Brewers, who swept a three-game series. Not much has gone right for the Mets this season. LF Yoenis Cespedes got off to a great start before going down with a hamstring injury; he hasn’t played since April 27. They’re also without their best starter, RHP Noah Syndergaard, and their best reliever, RHP Jeurys Famlia. Syndergaard is going to miss several months with a torn lat muscle, and Familia won’t be back until August at the earliest due to shoulder problems. The Mets’ rotation, which was expected to be their strength, has been the worst in the league, with a 5.13 ERA. Their offense has been potent, ranking third in the league with 5.0 runs per game. LF Michael Conforto has been terrific, with a .343/.430/.686 line in 98 at-bats. 1B Lucas Duda, who returned from a three-week disabled list stint on Friday, is hitting just .231 but owns a .365 on-base and a .519 slugging. RF Curtis Granderson is struggling, hitting just .144 in 125 at-bats.
