Tadd Haislop writes: “Based mostly on the incredible play of Kyler Murray through the first two weeks of the season, this game for the Lions has gone from winnable to challenging in a hurry. Detroit’s defense doesn’t have enough to slow down Arizona, which will put Mathew Stafford in more bad spots.”

Vinnie Iyer writes: “Considering how rough last season was, it’s a pleasant surprise to see the Arizona Cardinals getting off to a hot start. They’ve secured a 2-0 record through the first two weeks, and appear destined for a third-straight win against the Detroit Lions in Week 3. With that said, it’s not going to be an easy one. While the Lions are 0-2, they’ve been competitive in both games against an underrated Green Bay Packers team and a Bears squad that’s overachieving. Matthew Stafford isn’t having the MVP season he was hoping for, but he’s getting help from the ground game to keep the points coming. Unfortunately for Stafford and Co., I don’t see them being able to keep up with Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins and the Arizona offense. They’ve been on fire so far in 2020, with Murray looking like the franchise quarterback the Cardinals drafted him to be. Especially if Arizona’s young, high-upside defense can continue to deliver, this team will be one worth taking seriously. The Lions will keep things interest for the first couple of quarters, but I see the Cardinals pulling away in the second half. Murray has another huge game as Arizona asserts itself as a legitimate threat in the NFC.”

Vinnie Iyer writes: “Matthew Stafford is doing his best to keep the Lions’ offense together through injuries and personnel shakeups, but unfortunately the bigger problem is coach Matt Patricia’s defense. Patricia can feel the heat of a must-produce season already. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are sitting pretty with Kyler Murray teamed up with DeAndre Hopkins under Kliff Kingsbury. Detroit will not stop Arizona while Stafford is put in adverse situations in this desert trap. Still, a Kenny Golladay potential return would make this interesting out of desperation.”

Vincent Frank writes: “Imagine this. Mitchell Trubisky drops three touchdowns in the fourth quarter against a Lions team led by defensive-minded head coach Matt Patricia. It’s not fake news. It actually happened Week 1 and was a horrible look for Detroit. It didn’t get much better this past weekend with Detroit yielding 42 points to the division-rival Packers in a blowout loss. Now, imagine this. Kyler Murray and his Cardinals hosting this very same Lions squad after putting up a brilliant performance against one of the best defenses in the NFL. That’s especially true after Murray’s performance in a blowout win over Washington this past Sunday.”

WSN.com: Cardinals will cover
Mike Lukas writes: “It is not a good sign for head coach Matt Patricia and his steady and effective QB Matthew Stafford that in 2020 for the first two weeks in a row the Lions have blown an early lead, something that might be tough to fix against these Cardinals who haven’t scored less than 24 points in either of their outings this season. Arizona Cardinals 2nd year QB Kyler Murray has proved he is officially an NFL QB now, taking the second-year jump in production by fully utilizing new target DeAndre Hopkins and his old steady target, veteran Larry Fitzgerald. The undefeated Cardinals have beaten the 49ers and Washington, so it stands to reason they can beat the winless Detroit Lions.”

Pete Prisco writes: “The Cardinals are off to a great start and Kyler Murray is a big reason why. The Lions have been hit hard by injuries and have blown leads in both of their games. That won’t be an issue here. I think Arizona scores early and often and gets an easy one.”
Gilbert Brink writes: The west keeps winning, again.
