A girl died Tuesday following an early-morning rollover accident along Interstate 10 west of Phoenix, officials said.

A Chevrolet Suburban carrying two adults and five children was driving eastbound on I-10 near milepost 68, about halfway between Quartzsite and Tonopah, when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled just after 6:30 a.m., said Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves.

One of the children died of her injuries, and the others were transported for treatment, he said.

It was unclear how the driver lost control of the vehicle, Graves said.

Further details were not immediately available.
