An Arizona Cardinals player was arrested outside a Scottsdale nightclub last weekend, Scottsdale police confirmed Wednesday.

Marquis Bundy, 22, was taken into custody about 2:45 a.m. Saturday, outside the International Nightclub in downtown Scottsdale, police said.

Bundy was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and failure to obey an officer while outside the bar, police said.

The Cardinals issued a statement saying they were aware of the incident.

“The matter was referred to the NFL office in New York as required under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy and we are deferring to them on it,” the statement said.

Under the league’s conduct policy, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell can fine or suspend a player.

Bundy attended Boulder Creek High School in Anthem and played college football for the University of New Mexico.

He was signed by the Cardinals as an undrafted rookie last year.
