Buckeye police have identified a suspect being sought in connection with the death of a woman Monday morning.
The suspect was identified as Roxanne Lararmart, 29, who Buckeye police say knew the victim, Sally Haese, 69, but they did not reside together.
Police said Lararmart is suspected of attacking Haese in her home around 2:30 a.m., Monday.
Police were called to an address near Redwood Lane and Ash Avenuein the Shepard Heights subdivision for an “unknown trouble” report, said Buckeye police spokeswoman Tamela Skaggs said. The address is near County Road 85 and Baseline Road.
When officers arrived, they found Haese with severe injuries. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said the actual cause of death was yet to be determined and offered no additional details.
Lararmart, who was described as a transient, is known around the Buckeye area and is not believed to be armed, police said. At one point Monday, police thought she might be hiding in a home. Police said a SWAT team surrounded the house and entered, but the woman was not there.
Police released a photograph of Lararmart Monday evening.
Buckeye police ask that anyone who sees the woman call 911 and not approach her. Anyone with information on the woman’s location is asked to call police at 623-349-6411.
