One man was in critical condition after colliding with a vehicle in a shopping center parking lot Saturday night, Phoenix police officials said.
Around 6:26 p.m. a 35-year-old male bicyclist was riding through a shopping center parking lot, Sgt. Maggie Cox, spokeswoman for Phoenix police, said.
The bicyclist entered the road near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road and collided with the side of a 2006 Nissan Frontier Truck, Cox said.
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene. Neither speed nor impairment appeared to be a factor in the collision, Cox said.
The investigation is ongoing.
