While much of the rest of the country is still dealing with chilly temperatures, pool season has already begun here in metro Phoenix.

If you want to take things up a notch for 2017 with internationally renowned DJs, refreshing tropical cocktails and an upbeat atmosphere, check out one of the several pool parties happening from now through the summer.

The chic day club is the place to be if you’re looking for a Vegas pool-party feel. Dance in the shallow pool with other revelers, enjoy a refreshing drink at one of the bars staffed by bikini-clad bartenders, lounge on a day bed or splurge for a cabana and get access to the VIP bar behind the DJ stand that faces the pool. On Saturdays, head to the day club for the Soaked! pool party series. On Sundays, the Sound Wave series is hosted by Steve LeVine Entertainment and Disco Donnie Presents. Both feature guest DJs, including Zedd on April 2.

The retro hotel’s OH Pool always has a lively atmosphere. It’s open to the public every day except Saturdays and holiday weekends, which are only for hotel guests. Happy Hour Fridays feature bands from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., including Valley favorites such as Elvis Before Noon and Sassy & The Sneak Attack. On Recovery Sundays, there’s live music and brunch at ZuZu, 25 percent off cabanas and a special spa package. Session Saturdays, for hotel guests only, showcase DJs from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and specials on cocktails and food.

Release Pool Parties at Talking Stick Resort bring in some top DJ talent, with this season featuring Dillon Francis, Duke Dumont, Dada Life and Nicky Romero. The dress code is fashionable swimwear, and guests are required to wear shoes/sandals, a cover-up for women and shirts for men when walking through the resort building. Cabanas and day beds are available for rent.

The lively and swanky hotel in the center of the new Scottsdale Entertainment District hosts the Wet Weekends pool party every Friday and Saturday, with DJs and more activities on holiday weekends.
