An Arizona State University student is accused of stabbing another student in the hand with a kitchen knife at a residence hall in Tempe.
The fight between two male students happened around 12:40 p.m. Monday inside Manzanita Hall, a co-ed dorm along University Drive on the Tempe campus, ASU officials said.
The men knew each other and lived near each other, ASU spokesman Jerry Gonzalez said. He said the stabbing victim had non-life-threatening injuries.
“This was an isolated incident, not a threat to anyone else,” he said.
ASU officials said one of the men was arrested, but his identity and the age of the victim were not immediately available.
Police continued to investigate the incident Tuesday.
