No. 13 Arizona State softball lost its first two games at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Thursday.
ASU fell 2-0 to No. 20 Oklahoma State before losing 8-0 in five innings to No. 23 Texas Tech in Cathedral City, Calif.
Oklahoma State put up single runs in the fourth and sixth innings while Samantha Show (3-1) limited ASU to five hits.
Cielo Meza and Abby Andersen pitched for ASU with Andersen taking the loss.
In Game 2, Texas Tech bolted to a 6-0 lead in the first inning against ASU starting pitcher Samantha Mejia. The big hit was a three-run homer by Kelcy Leach.
Red Raiders pitcher Erin Edmoundson (7-0) no-hit ASU for 4 2/3 innings before a single by Alli Tatnall, but the Sun Devils still were run-ruled.
ASU (8-4) will play Nebraska and Texas A&M on Friday, Bethune-Cookman on Saturday and Cal Poly on Sunday.
