A lot of artists are starting to do things billed as drive-in concerts that are actually virtual concerts they’ve filmed in advance to screen at outdoor venues, including recent Arizona screenings by Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton and Metallica.
R&B singer Brian McKnight will actually be on hand for the opening night of a series of live onstage drive-in concert performances presented by R Entertainment & M Culinary exclusively at WestWorld of Scottsdale on Friday, Sept. 18.
McKnight, whose hits include the Vanessa Williams duet “Love Is” and the million-selling “Back at One,” is playing two shows at 7 and 10 p.m. Gates open an hour before each show.
How to get tickets
Tickets are $160-$200 per carload with a VIP package including one signed concert poster at $300 per carload.

Tickets are General Admission in each section and spots are assigned on a first come first serve basis.
Each ticket admits one passenger car or truck.
The event is rain or shine.
Safety precautions
The show will adhere to guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as all state and local health mandates.
This includes maintaining at least six feet of space between vehicles (this event will see 6 to 12 feet of space between vehicles), use of personal protective equipment by staff, implementation of contactless payment and ticketing systems and limiting capacity in restrooms.
Concessions will be available, adhering to state guidelines.
