Coyotes captain Shane Doan, who’s day-to-day with a lower-body injury, won’t play tonight against the Blues.
“He’ll go on the trip,” coach Dave Tippett said.
The Coyotes are in the midst of a season-high five-game point streak.
“We’re defending better and getting out of our zone,” defenseman Alex Goligoski said. “It’s allowed us to play in the offensive zone a little bit more. Really, that’s the whole idea is get out of your zone and play down there.”
This is the first of three meetings between the Coyotes and the Blues.
“They’re a team pushing hard to solidify a playoff spot,” Tippett said. “So they’ll be a real hungry team. Hopefully that brings the best out of our team.”
