The Cardinals made a pair of moves to bolster their offense on Wednesday, per reports.

Former Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green is signing a one-year deal with the Cardinals, per multiple reports on Wednesday, and center Rodney Hudson is coming to Arizona via a trade with the Raiders.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said that the team and Green have already agreed to terms. “This deal has been in the works since (Tuesday) night, source said. Expect it to come in around 1 year for $8M,” he tweeted.

As for Hudson, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that that Raiders are trading Hudson and a seventh-round pick to Arizona, in exchange for a third-round pick.

Green, 32, has played all nine of his seasons with Cincinnati after entering the league as the fourth-overall pick of the 2011 draft. He missed the entire 2019 season after tearing ligaments in his ankle during training camp.

Green has had six seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards, the most recent in 2017. 2020 brought his career lows of 523 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his return from his 2019 injury. He has tallied 9,430 career receiving yards and 65 touchdowns on 649 receptions.

Cardinals veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has yet to announce if he will return for the 2021 season.

Hudson, 31, played four years with Kansas City after he was drafted there in the second round of the 2011 draft. He then joined the Raiders in March of 2015.

Cardinals offensive line coach/run game coordinator Sean Kugler indicated last month that the team was open to bringing someone in.

“If we add somebody, they’re going to be right in the mix,” he said in a press conference. “It’s going to be open competition. The best guy is going to win that job.”

Hudson (6-2, 315) is a three-time Pro Bowler who has played 143 games in his career.
