On Friday, the Arizona Cardinals signed offensive lineman Justin Murray to a two-year contract extension that will keep Murray under contract through the end of the 2022 season.

Murray, 27, has appeared in all three games this season, rotating in on the offensive line. He’s used to moving around: He entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with Denver in 2016 and has spent time on the active rosters of the Bengals and Raiders in addition to three other practice squads.

Murray joined the Cardinals right before the season opener last season and went on to play in a career-high 14 games, with 12 starts. While Kingsbury said Murray arrived in Arizona as “kind of an emergency,” he impressed right away as the team got to know him more.

“Couldn’t be more fired up for Justin,” Kingsbury said Friday. “He works his tail off, his attention to detail, his passion for the game — he’s everything you want in your organization. So couldn’t be more thrilled for him.”
