A 3-year-old was taken to a hospital after she was attacked by a dog Friday evening in Surprise, police officials said.
Surprise police officers responded to “a call of a vicious dog” at about 6:40 p.m. in the area of 182nd Lane and Rimrock Street, department spokesman Sgt. Tommy Hale said, in an email.
The dog “attacked” another neighborhood dog and then the girl, Hale said. The child was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Several other adults were injured but declined medical treatment, according to police.
The dog was contained, and there is no threat to the community.
The investigation is ongoing. No further details were available from police.
