A.J. Green on his time in Cincinnati, if this is the last game with the Bengals and what’s next for him.

Cincinnati Enquirer

Former Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green is signing a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, per multiple reports on Wednesday.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said that the team and Green have already agreed to terms. “This deal has been in the works since (Tuesday) night, source said. Expect it to come in around 1 year for $8M,” he tweeted.

Green, 32, has played all nine of his seasons with Cincinnati after entering the league as the fourth-overall pick of the 2011 draft. He missed the entire 2019 season after tearing ligaments in his ankle during training camp.

Green has had six seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards, the most recent in 2017. 2020 brought his career lows of 523 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his return from his 2019 injury. He has tallied 9,430 career receiving yards and 65 touchdowns on 649 receptions.

Cardinals veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has yet to announce if he will return for the 2021 season.
