A man who was stabbed early Friday at a Phoenix apartment complex near 12th Street and Bell Road later died at a hospital, according to officials. 

Police responded to the area around 12:25 a.m. and found a man with a life-threatening stab wound that appeared to be caused by a bladed weapon, according to Sgt. Mercedes Fortune, a Phoenix police spokesperson. 

The man was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to Fortune, who said there was no additional information.
