ASU faces its five Pac-12 South Division foes, USC, Colorado, Utah, UCLA and Arizona and one North foe, California.

It will conclude its season either in the Pac-12 Championship Game as the South Division champion against the North Division champion or will face the North team that finished in the same spot it did in the South.

Here’s a quick look at the Sun Devils’ seven-game 2020 Pac-12 college football game schedule, with an early prediction.

Can Herm Edwards and Jayden Daniels lead Arizona State to a special shortened season?

Nov. 7 at USC, 10 a.m., FOX, LA Memorial Coliseum/Los Angeles

Both ASU and USC had standout freshmen quarterbacks last season and big things are expected from both of them in their sophomore campaigns. The winner of this game gets the edge in what is expected to be a very intriguing Pac-12 South race. We’re giving the edge to Kedon Slovis and the Trojans in this one at home, but nothing fazes Jayden Daniels. It could go either way. Prediction: USC 35, ASU 27. ASU record 0-1.

Nov. 14 vs. Cal, Sun Devil Stadium

Cal went an impressive 8-5 last season and appears to be a program on the rise in the Pac-12. ASU somehow escaped its game against the Bears last season with a victory and it wouldn’t surprise us to see the Sun Devils continue their impressive play at home with a narrow victory in this game. Prediction: ASU 27, Cal 24. ASU record: 1-1.

Nov. 21 at Colorado, Folsom Field/Boulder, Colo.

Playing at Colorado is never an easy task, but the Sun Devils will be ready for the environment in Boulder and Daniels will play his way into the midseason Heisman conversation with a standout performance to help Arizona State move to 4-1. Prediction: ASU 41, Colorado 30. ASU record: 2-1.

Nov. 28 vs. Utah, Sun Devil Stadium

The Sun Devils get the Utes in Tempe this season in what could be a very pivotal Pac-12 South matchup. ASU might need a victory here to stay in contention for the division title. They’ll get it thanks to some strong stands from the defense. Prediction: ASU 35, Utah 27. ASU record: 3-1.

Dec. 5 vs. UCLA, Sun Devil Stadium

The Sun Devils fell to the Bruins last season in Pasadena, 42-32, in one of their most disappointing games You can never count out Chip Kelly’s offense, but will UCLA’s defense be able to slow down ASU? We don’t see it happening in this one. We see Arizona State getting another victory at home. The team will also start to make some noise in the Top 25 with the win. Prediction: ASU 38, UCLA 24. ASU record: 4-1.

Dec. 11 at Arizona, Arizona Stadium/Tucson, Ariz.

Can Herm Edwards move to 3-0 against Kevin Sumlin and the Wildcats? Yes, he can. The Sun Devils will conclude their Pac-12 South slate with a big victory over Arizona in Tucson with Jayden Daniels using his arm and his legs to elevate ASU past Arizona. Prediction: ASU 42, Arizona 28. ASU record: 5-1.

Dec. 18 or 19: TBD

This game could possibly be the Pac-12 Championship Game for the Sun Devils on Friday, Dec. 18, if ASU ends up with the best record in the South. If not, ASU will face whichever team from the North Division that finished in the same place Arizona State did in the South Division on Sat., Dec. 19. Prediction: ?. ASU record: ?-?
